Dove Cottage is a day care hospice, and guests usually come to us for one day each week. We do our very best to make our hospice a home away from home. It is set in beautiful countryside with a lovely lounge, dining room, and places where our guests can enjoy games, crafts and wellbeing activities.

Dove has skilled nurses, chaplaincy support, complementary therapies and beauty treatments for those in our local communities who have palliative care needs; we pride ourselves on providing specialised care and support. We also offer help to families and carers, such as bereavement support and a Family Support Group, as well as regular groups for those living with dementia. Our skilled nurses and team of volunteers care for guests living with advanced, progressive life-limiting illnesses, such as cancer and motor neurone disease. We have a high carer to guest ratio.

Dove Cottage has a homely and peaceful atmosphere. Our purpose-built premises include a lounge, dining room, complementary therapy rooms, conservatory, quiet room, bathrooms and lovely gardens with magnificent views over open countryside. Guests can also take part in arts and crafts, wellbeing activities like yoga, and games such as dominoes and scrabble. We also have a cook who prepares a wonderful three-course lunch. Special dietary needs are catered for. Dove Cottage Day Hospice provides about 3,700 day care places every year, and we are open three days a week, Tuesday to Thursday.
