RSPCA Leicestershire, Peterborough and Rutland, based at Woodside Animal Centre, is one of the biggest RSPCA branches in the UK and for over 143 years, we have been rescuing and caring for injured, or abandoned animals, neglected or mistreated pets throughout Leicestershire, Peterborough and Rutland.

Our role at Woodside is to support the work of the central RSPCA charity inspectors by providing a home for the rescued animals ensuring that they are cared for by providing access to a vet, a warm bed, the right diet, regular exercise, love and understanding, training and preparing them for rehoming before finding them their loving forever home. We are a local independent charity implementing the RSPCA’s work throughout our catchment area. We receive no government or regular funding and are almost totally reliant on the generosity of our supporters, donors and the general public to help fund our work.
