Open Hands Trust is a Leicester based charity that has been supporting the emergency needs of the local community for the past 18 years. We help a broad range of different people including low-income families, people who are homeless, refugees and asylum seekers and people who are unemployed.
We support people with emergency practical help, skills training, and mentoring. Our services include the Food Store (emergency and affordable food & toiletries provision), Pie Night (Tuesday evening hot meal provision), the Drop-In (emergency clothing, bedding, kitchen items), the Furniture Project (free and affordable furniture) and English Classes.
We offer care, dignity and hope for the future to everyone we meet, walking with people on a journey towards independence from our support.
